About Moses Perdue

Ready to Serve Rockdale County Residents

Moses Perdue and his family have been proud citizens of the Rockdale County community for over 15 years.   He has over 32 years of service in the law enforcement community in a variety of leadership positions.  Moses has experience and  successes in fighting and preventing crime, while adhering to accountability expectations and demanding the same from those under his command.  Perdue's law enforcement career has afforded him the opportunity to work in several multifaceted, diverse police departments. As a Commander with the Atlanta Police Department, he managed the largest precinct in the department with over 150 employees serving under his leadership.  Moses Perdue has managed large-scale events such as Super Bowls, the Olympics, multiple incidents of civil disturbance, high school graduations, large sporting events, and numerous emergencies in collaboration with local, state, and federal partners.  He worked to ensure that both sworn and non-sworn personnel worked in the best interest of stakeholders, customers, and partners, all while utilizing best practices to carry out the mission of protecting and serving the public interest.  He offers experience, integrity, and the ability to meet the challenges of his community, Rockdale County.

Interest Targets


Transparency through Citizen’s Police Academy Programs and Advisory Boards composed of citizens, business leaders, Parks and Recreation, college students, and high school students from within the community.


Utilizing best practices to bring training to the Rockdale Sheriff’s Office through partnerships with local, state, federal, and private entities from the outside to take an objective look at the department.


Develop an ongoing partnership with surrounding agencies to combat crime. Working together to develop strategies and creating task forces to combat auto thefts, robberies,  burglaries, and slider crimes that are ongoing problems within Rockdale County.


The cooperation with our local and state jurisdictions and court systems is very important.  Communication and sharing information to ensure the safety of our citizens in Rockdale County is a top priority.


I-20 is a major hub for transporting victims to and from different locations. Through training, partnerships, and a concentrated effort along the I-20 corridor, the Rockdale Sheriff’s Office can better assist in combating human tracking.


Develop and train a comprehensive Gangs/Drug Unit that will combat street-level crimes associated with drugs, robberies, and property crimes. This unit will also act as the Rockdale Sheriff’s Office Liaison Unit working with local, state, and federal agencies.
